Acupuncture can be used as an adjunct treatment for acute bacterial prostatitis as well as some chronic types. It can also help manage and reduce symptoms of an inflamed prostate that is only under observation by your GP and not in need of medical attention.

As men age, the prostate gland can swell and cause discomfort and urinary symptoms. Most cases do not require medical intervention, but can still cause symptoms. Acupuncture and western herbs can be used in a way to manage symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy and slow the progression over time.
